ISO/TC130 is the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) established under the Technical Committee No. 130 - Printing Technical Committee, is responsible for printing technology in international standardization. The areas of responsibility to the products from the original course of the printing and graphics technology, terminology, test methods and various norms of standardization activities, including in particular the following aspects: layout, copying, printing process, after the Indian processing, adaptive consumables used.
Tortuous history of development
ISO/TC130 the date of incorporation in 1969, the first meeting was held in Paris in 1971. Since then, German Institute for Standardization DIN for the Secretariat's commitment unit, and that continues today. To date, ISO/TC130 have been formulated and promulgated the 66 on the printing technology, international standards,
And is on the 19 standards and revision. So far, ISO/TC130 has 19 full members (with voting rights), 20 observer members (non-voting).
Nine working groups set up
ISO/TC130 has five permanent working groups: Terminology, pre-press data exchange, process control and related measurements, media and materials, ergonomics and safety. In addition, ISO/TC130 and other areas is also the Technical Committee set up a joint working group, coordinated development of relevant standards, such as paper and ISO/TC6 form a joint technical committee working group, with ISO/TC42 photographic form a joint technical committee working group, with the International Color Consortium ICC form a joint working group, with the International Electrotechnical Commission IEC form a joint working group.
Standards produced by the six steps
From 1989 to 2009, the 20-year period, ISO/TC130 the focus mainly on the early standard for further research and development, including digital data exchange format standard, printing standards, measurement standards and testing and the required standards. In addition, ISO/TC130 work also extended to new areas, and the International Color Consortium color management organizations developed the standards, but also developed a data directly proofing standards. Standard-setting process is a collaborative process.
Standard produce the following six steps: New project proposal, the Working Group draft, Committee Draft, Draft International Standard, the international symbol of the final draft international standard.
Germany and the United States made the greatest contribution
ISO is the International Organization for Standardization, national standardization organizations in international standardization activities, ranging from the contribution rate, in which German Institute for Standardization and the American Association for the largest contribution to standardization. The same is true in the printing area, ISO/TC130 9 working groups and its secretariat in addition to an undefined, there are four printed in the United States Trade Association (NPES), there are four located in the German Institute for Standardization (DIN). These two countries have also set up an early printing Organization for Standardization, ISO/TC130 earlier standard multi-switched these two countries to develop standards. All U.S. IT8 file format standard,
Most of the United States Printing Technology Standards Committee (CGATS) standards, and U.S. Agency for International Standards Organization (ANSI) B65 safety standards, have been introduced into the standard-setting among ISO/TC130. With regard to ink, paper and printing standards-based criteria, as well as from Germany into the early ISO/TC130 standards.
