Printing industry is a large industry system. China is experiencing great development and industry transformation. To 2010, China is hopefully to exceed Japan and Germany and become the world second largest printing country.
China printing industry now develops at the annual speed of about 15% and it has formed three industry zones: Pearl river delta(South China), Yantze river delta (Middle are of China) and Bohai area(North of China). At present, there are over 180,000 printing enterprises with over 3.4 million employees and with gross industrial output value of RMB 280 billion, accounting for about 2% of gross domestic product. Of the TOP 100 printing enterprises, 80% sales revenue is produced by printing enterprises in these three zones.
In recent years, nearly 100 foreign-funded printing enterprises are authorized to be founded in China yearly. And printing enterprises’ ownership structure has changed a lot. The share of state-owned enterprise is shrinking gradually and that of diversified ownership is enlarging constantly.
China printing industry will develop rapidly, but the growth rate of the whole industry is slowed down compared with last two years. The large foreign capital investment heats up the competition in China printing industry.
