FAQ?

Q: Number of copies?

A: It’s OK to ask for quotes for two or three quantities if you’re trying to decide how many you can do on your budget. Let us know what your budget is; we may be able to give some recommendations.

Q: How long is the turnaround time for an order?

A: The turnaround time is depending on the specifications of your printing order. Our production time is generally 3-8 business days, usually within 5 business days. Orders with post-press finishing such as membrane coating, binding, paperhanging, die cutting, bronzing, etc generally take more than 5 business days.

Q: What types of paper are used?
A: All products use the highest quality paper in the industry. Ordinary, we use three types of paper:

1# High Quality art Paper, such as glossy paper, matte paper. Art paper are used for magazine, brochure or other high quality products.

2# Offset Paper, which is used for notebook, exercise book, letter, envelopment and so on. That is because, comparing with art paper, it is better for writing.

3# Karft Paper, which is used for box, shopping bag and other packing material. It is much more solid.

Besides these three paper, wo also offer writing paper, woodfree paper, or any other kinds of special paper, and card paper.

On a large print run, the stock can be your largest expense. Work with your printer or graphic artist to choose a paper that will suit both your design and your budget.

Q: What does 4/0, 4/1, and 4/4 mean?
A: These numbers represent the numbers of colors on each side of your print piece. Full color printing is made from 4 inks: Cyan (C), Magenta (M), Yellow (Y), and Black (B) and is represented by 4. Black & White (or grayscale) is represented by 1 (although you can have many shades of gray). A blank side or no printing is represented by 0. Thus 4/0 would signify full color printing on the front side with the backside being blank. 4/1 means full color front and black & white on the back. 4/4 means full color on both sides

Q: What is a UV gloss coating?
A:
Coating gives the print a luxurious glossy look as well as protecting your print against aging (i.e. fading from sunlight exposure). High gloss prints do not diffuse the light like a matte finish, which results in colors seeming more vivid.

Q: What is full bleed?
A: Full bleed means the ink runs to the very edge of the paper. No printer is actually full bleed, so during printing process the excess paper is trimmed off resulting in the “full bleed” professional look. In order to print “full bleed” the ink coverage must exceed the final print dimensions.

Q: Type of binding?

A: Spiral bound as in manual books, notebook. Folded for brochures or flyer. 3-hole drilled for binders, Saddle-stitched for booklets.

Glue binding (Perfect binding) or Smith binding is also widly used for any kinds of books.

Q: What is to be prepaired for the printing?

A: Please mail us in express the CD(s) with your original document and requirements, or log in the FTP account that we offer you and upload the digital files, we will print your products according to the original document and requirements.

Q: What files do you accept and how do I supply them?
